Since I could not get this to work otherwise, we spent money to outsource the mail merge project. Thank you for the update. The sad things is - as you know - this should have worked for you. After spending many more hours exploring the client's computer yesterday, I believe we may have stumbled upon part of the issue - albeit still not resolved.

When I tried sending to plain text, the Outlook security prompt was displayed "Allow". But this was never displayed for HTML emails - and should have been. I installed Click Yes - and this stopped the Security prompt messages for plain text.

But still nothing happens for HTML. So I do believe it has to do with Security, and settings in the registry somewhere. I will keep updated. I have seen this on a number of occasions now over the years. No-one seems to have an answer - very frustrating.

With the last client, they had to buy a new computer - then all worked as it should! When I finish mail merge and select plain test I am getting security prompt programmatic security prompt in Outlook.

Recently I've had the same issue on my computer. I tried many troubleshoot steps but it didn't bring expected result until I've found this:. It was, at its peak, requiring clicking Allow for every message sent as plain text and doing nothing for HTML emails.

After clicking allow for plain text, they showed up correctly in the sent mail. Resaving the Word document and restarting the merge did nothing. Removing that profile did nothing. There was no reference to denying access or file validation within the registry. Attempted to repair the account and data file from within Outlook, but it found no errors and there was no change. Attempting to repair Office resulted in this error: missing Standard. The profile was used as the default without a prompt now.

Reopened Outlook at the mail had sent! Mail merges now worked with Outlook open as well. If none of that works, repair Office. If you cannot repair Office, reinstall and hope that glaring at it for long enough will scare the software into functioning. Office Office Exchange Server.
