Documents to go premium edition 6 for palm os

No need to be attached to your computer all day when you easily work right from your mobile device. Unlike other office solutions for mobile devices, you can view, edit and create office files on your mobile device — all for free.

Advanced editing options are supported and editing is simple to do. Our unique InTact technology ensures that none of your formatting will be lost when you view your document on your computer. Our premium paid version is available so you can easily get your files from your computer onto your mobile device.

If you have a previous version, uninstall the old one first. Attempting to install over the old one will cause the former version PRC files to be installed. I had to uninstall and delete the directory. The documents from the old version were left on my Palm expansion card. You may want to make a list of your docs, then delete the documents on the handheld and do an extra sync before installing the new version.

Not a real problem, but it clutters up the DTG file list and you cannot remove them. Delete removes them from the list AND your handheld. There does not appear to be an option to exclude files used by other apps. To move them to an expansion card, follow the directions in the "Getting Started" file, or you can use the move command in FileZ or McFile. The card tools for LauncherX also work fine. This appears to be an excellent upgrade, so don't let the few complications get to you!

You need to install it as an Evaluation Copy first, then upgrade it with the button on the desktop, and hotsync to validate the Palm-side programs.

T C owners might want to look into Jacksprat to move the Flash-installed previous version to RAM to achieve a reasonably seamless upgrade. Though I don't have any docs on my SD Card, the apps upgraded with no problem. I was also able to convert the Docs to Go documents to native Word format error free. I love that mode; six days with my UX50 and I'd have a hard time going back to anything else. Here's hoping Sony did it right. Lord knows they can't make figure out the memory issue.

Sounds to me more like Palm is intentionally breaking compatibility on the feature. This has been discussed in the forum. The SONY api is not good. Syncing woes? Does anyone know if this new Premium version of Docs To Go will be installed in new Palms which have this in their bundled software?

I've got a Tungsten C. Can't get a reply from Palm tech support or from Palm at all - for that matter. That's too bad because I don't think people will tolerate having to convert files just to use on the pda-and thats a critical feature of MMplayer as well. The big advantage over QuickOffice is that it can actually save in native Office format, unlike QO which can only read native formats. Will this new version be compatible with other email clients like Snappermail?

I don't see why it wouldn't be. I just tested it: pick a document and tap "send" then tap "snappermail" and it works! DocSync is still in place for Native Documents that you are synchronizing. Thanks, but I guess I should be more specific. Yes, but many of us actually use those formatting options.

And, incidentally, what does that say, in general, for the value of MS Products? Buy Now! Learn More! You can even use files saved to expansion cards or sent as e-mail attachments directly on your Smartphone or PDA without synchronization. In addition, the Premium Edition supports password protected files, charting, pictures, synchronization of e-mail with attachment and even spell checking for word processing files!

It's no wonder, with over 8 million copies sold, Documents To Go continues to be the 1 selling office suite for Palm OS handhelds! RoadSync allows you to read, delete, reply and efficiently manage your Outlook inbox from your Palm OS Smartphone or wireless handheld.
